In response to the devastating flooding situation in Queensland, majority of lenders have established a dedicated customer emergency assistance team to help affected customers.
These lenders will take a compassionate approach toward customers adversely impacted by the disaster and will consider the following assistance to affected customers on a case by case basis:
- Lenders may suspended home loan repayments for up to 3 months
- Waiver of loan fees for customers who require a new restructure, or
- Assistance to customers with fast access to savings balances and access to term deposit funds
